What is your office schedule? Our hours vary slightly by season. Generally we are available from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Eastern time, Monday - Friday. We can be available occasionally (by appointment only) on Saturdays.
-
How long have you been in business? Our parent company has been in existence since 1991.
-
Can you provide references? Of course! We would be happy to provide you with reference on request. We have shipped to all 50 states and 20 foreign countries. In addition, we encourage you to check our record at the Better Business Bureau and with Dunn and Bradstreet (there may be a fee for D&B). If you are considering other manufacturer's we encourage you to check their records also. At least one of the other major church chair companies is currently in bankruptcy.
-
How is your financial condition? In a nutshell, fantastic! We are a very conservative Christian company that believes that what we are doing is a part of God's work and His calling on our lives. We are very careful to maintain proper balances of cash flow in and out. We will be happy to give you the name of our Banker and you are welcome to contact them. Our company has over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing, office and warehouse space and we have nearly 30 employees. Many of our employees have been with us since we started the Worship Chairs division in 2005. Our sales were up by 24% in 2011 (thank you Lord for allowing us to help churches!)
-
Do your chairs arrive already assembled? Yes, our chairs are fully assembled when they arrive at the church. This means the backs are on straight also! The only thing you will need to do is unwrap the plastic wrap and cardboard protecting the stacks, and if you order a chair with a removable bookrack, slip it under the seat and into place.
-
Why are your prices so low? We determined at the beginning of Worship Chairs that we were undertaking this business to help churches grow, and to save money. In 2005, there were several companies with an online presence offering chairs, but none listed their prices. Their prices ran from $45-60 per chair, which meant they were collecting massive profits from churches. We wanted a different approach, a ministry approach, and determined we could sell chairs for $35 or under in many cases and save churches money. We posted our prices, and our phones have never stopped ringing!
-
Are your chairs in stock? Yes, we keep over 20,000 in stock all the time. If you order a chair with custom fabric however it will need to be manufactured. Occasionally we sell out of a color temporarily but more are coming!
-
Where are your chairs made? Our chairs are made - to our specifications - in China or the USA. We understand that some folks argue that American made chairs keep jobs in the USA and we agree that is true. However, when we bring in chairs from China, it allows us to offer a much lower price for equal quality chairs (in some cases better quality). In addition, half the cost of each chair stays in the US providing jobs here... dock workers, truckers, sales staff, fuel for the trucks, etc., is all provided here. In addition, a portion of our sales from China goes to support Chinese Christian Ministries (we can't advertise how - they could be arrested in China - but ask us about it!)
-
Aren't imported chairs inferior? Not true! It depends on how they are made, not where they are made. For example, one company in the USA still uses particle board inside their seats. Over time, that particle board glue dries out, the seats become weak, can sag, squeak and break! Our chairs are made to our quality specifications (after 20 years we know what to do) with all hardwood plywood inside.
-
What is your warranty? We warranty our chairs and church products to be free from manufacturer's defects in material or workmanship. Most chairs are warranted 25 years on frames, 10 years on fabric and other components.
-
Are custom fabrics available? Yes they
are- but there are some qualifications - ask your Church Consultant
-
What is the lead time on in-stock chairs? Since most of our chairs are in stock they can ship fairly quickly. It depends on your preference and our shipping schedule. If you qualify for FREE SHIPPING, the chairs will ship on our trucks (after all, we will provide personalized delivery service!). Our trucks travel north, south, east and west on a rotating schedule. That means every 3-4 weeks we will have a truck in your area. If you need chairs more quickly, we can send them by common carrier (LTL) or other means. You can also pick up your chairs if you wish.
-
What is the lead time on custom chairs? Custom made chairs take 10-14 weeks, depending on fabric availability.
-
Why do you request payment with the order? There are a couple of reasons... first of all there are many times when our delivery trucks are coming your way this week or next and we would like to bring your order quickly. Secondly, it helps us keep our prices lower. We don't have to hire more accounting folks to handle accounts receivable. Also, in over 20 years we have had several bad checks from churches. Bad checks are like shoplifters, they cause prices to rise. By asking for payment with the order, we avoid bad checks and it helps keep our pricing low. If you have unusual circumstances, contact our Church Consultants for assistance.
-
Can you compare your chairs with ABC company? Sorry, but as Christians, we don't bad mouth anyone else. If another company is doing that, examine their motives. Secondly, we choose to promote our good quality products. Lastly, we don't know the other companies specifications. We are not out to "beat" anyone. God blesses us for what we do and for following Him.
